How they look together

I spent a lot less time making it this year.
Perhaps practice does help after all [this is my 3rd year making the entire thing by myself]

Some of you asked on instagram how i make such a tiny portion of each element.
Well i dont XD a lot of the stuff i make doesnt fit in the jubako container but we eat it too XD
The jubako is more presentation XD See here is a photo of us eating the leftovers for dinner.

Closeup of the super cute kamaboko i bought!
Happy Year of the Snake 2013!

Are you ready for 2013? Osechi time!

New Year is coming soon!
In Japan, we celebrate New Year in a big way! Its like Christmas or Thanksgiving all rolled into one.
Osechi Ryori is the traditional dishes/food that we eat!

The supermarket is has tons of posters up to remind us XD

Here is a cute kiddie version

As with the past few years, the duty of making the Osechi has fallen upon me again
So this weekend i am off to gather all the items i need and making it on Monday 31st.

If you want to join in, check out the tutorials i made 2 years ago [wow!has it been that long?]
