Wooo i am on a roll here….2 posts in 2 days!!!
Ok actually its because i am supposed to be doing some work and nothing inspires me to blog [ie procrastinate] than to have to work. XD
But here’s a blog post at least!
Longtime readers will know i am a big big fan of ParaDo.
Ok so its a convenience store makeup brand [7-11 hahaha] but hey i dont care. I think they put out good products at good prices! Some of the stuff is really innovative as well! Like their french manicure nail polishes and now this!
ParaDo nail polish in “Milky Syrup”
No i am not making the name up, thats what its called.
Instead of your usual glittery specks, they are these plasticky white squares. Like sugar cubes!
I thought it was really different so i decided to give it a try.
High gloss, good coverage, though would have preferred a higher concentration of “squares”. Makes a good topcoat!
The green/blue color is from SKINFOOD.
And to go with my green theme, here’s a green EOTD [i dont think i done one yet?]
I’m actually not wearing circle lenses or any contact lenses for that matter in this EOTD, hope its ok XD
Ok yes..my nail polish has started to chip badly by now. Sorry XD [its been over a week!]
What i used
The Tarte treasure chest of course! XD
I used 3 of the MUFE pencils as well [2 greens and 1 black]
When i bought the MUFE set, i had some questions about how i use colored pencil eyeliners.
Well here are some pics! [let me know if u guys like this sorta instructional pic thingys]
1. Draw the black line on your waterline [i use liquid eyeliner on my eyelid, pencil on my lower waterline]
2. Draw a line using the color that matches your eyeshadow. For example if i was doing a blue EOTD, i use a blue pencil.
3. Blend blend blend. This will definetely be lasting the whole day, wont smudge, wont transfer onto your cheek. A much better way to get color on the lower part of your eye. Also far less chance of the eyeshadow powder getting into your eyes.
Hope this helps!! Having color at the bottom of your eyes also helps make it look bigger too
And of course false eyelashes help a lot too…i used these in my EOTD photo

And since everyone seemed to like the bento related pictures in the previous post, here are some from a japanese book [ie one i can actually read XD]
This one is fun, its about transforming what you cooked for dinner into a bento for another day. The recipes are suitable for freezing so u can assemble your bento another day.
For example..
Some egg dishes suitable for freezing which you can add to a bento
The basics of making a bento is to have the 5 colors in it. Red,white, green, black and yellow.
You will notice most bento making books in Japan are broken up into dishes which will form these colors.
For those of you who read my sale/craft blog, i know i said i was going to have another update early this week but alas i have some other sewing to do so i havent gotten round to it..
So what am i actually sewing/working on at the moment?
Doll clothing XD most of you probably dont know this but i collect asian ball jointed dolls and i used to sell clothes i make at dollmarkets here in Tokyo. I stopped doing a lot of it this since last year. However a friend of mine has a booth at the big doll event end of the year and has somehow brainwashed me into making stuff to sell so she has more inventory XD
One of the clips on the doll jacket i am sewing…sometimes its a pain to deal with something so small
How small?
I included a packet of candy and a MAC MSF in the picture for scale.
Yes that’s how small it is, just think, i have to deal with around 3 pairs of these on each jacket.
I might go blind soon.
And it seems i have made it a slight habit to include some video of some form at the end of my blog posts XD
Am i the only one eagerly waiting for their comeback?
I wish Jay was back too but its nice to see the other boys getting some work too!

Ooh thanks for the eyeliner tip! That’s brilliant, I never thought of doing that. Does it pull on your eyelid though, having to blend so much? Also, your nails are in awesome condition if they’re a week old. xD Lovely, lovely EOTD as usual. ♥
ah if u use mufe pencils which are uber creamy, they are easy to blend before they dry
much better than using a brush with eyeshadow [far les tugging]

ooh i dont think i tried tiss off before but i see its quite popular in stores here too
or rather i see people buying it at least, so it must be pretty decent??? i dont use cleansing oils these days so i dont know XD

I love your eyes with or without the circle lenses, and your EOTD is lovely! That’s all I use coloured liner for too (the bottom lash line) as I find it easier to be more precise than trying to draw a line with eyeshadow. Plus most of the time once it’s there it doesn’t travel unless I make it (blending/removal).
The 35th anniversary HK fabric is so cute! The celebrations seem like they’ve been kind of crazy, but very cool. I am dying for one of the new Tokidoki x HK bags, but I don’t actually think they sell them here.
That buckle is SO TINY. *salutes your sewing* I don’t think I could do it…. I’d probably end up sewing over my own finger. XD;

I had a friend who collected asian ball-jointed dolls. At the height of her obsession, I think she had 6 or 9 in total; she would make clothes for them too. She does cosplay, so its really cute because she makes a mini version of her costumes for her dolls.

I like your new photos of your lovely eyes makeup…especially the false lashes make your eyes look so doll like. I guess is very common in Japan to put on makeup and doll up oneself… but sadly in Singapore is not a IN thing to dollup oneself. Anyway I like reading your blogs is so interesting.

i cant say for the whole of japan but in tokyo almost everyone wears makeup. i hardly know anyone who doesnt. We wear varying amounts but on the whole most ppl wear quite a bit XD
yes i remember when i visited Singapore, there was not a lot of people who wore makeup. But you guys have a lot of makeup stores heeheee
