I’ve come to realise Agnes b is a huge brand in Hong Kong hahaha
The stores are everywhere! In Tokyo, you can find them in Seibu and the flagship store is in Omotesando.
However i dont think its as popular as it is in Hong Kong. I dont see many people carrying Agnes B bags in Tokyo but i do see it often in Hong Kong. XD

Went to the Agnes b restaurant with Mish and Lisa
agnes01

Appetizer [Scallop]
agnes02

Main [Shrimp linguine in chilli and white wine sauce]
agnes03
I reallly liked this!!

Had a pot of tea at the end [cos i had the set lunch]
agnes04
The decor of the place was really lovely but i didnt take many photos. I’ll steal them off Mish another time. XD
If you wish to visit the place when in Hong Kong, see website here

http://www.agnesb-lepaingrille.com/

In other random news….Mish gifted me with these masks recently….
agnes10
They are from the premium range of the My Beauty Diary mask range. I far prefer these to the normal My Beauty Diary masks. <– though the normal range has more “flavors” and i do like variety XD

Remember how i said 7-11 here was having a Hello Kitty promotion?
Well my magazine buying at 7-11 has paid off and i finally gotten enough points to claim a box.
agnes11
Its blind boxes..ie you dont know what you will get till you open it. I got the cellphone one. It was actually one of the ones i really wanted XD

Also went to the MAC store at Sogo in Causeway Bay
agnes12
Picked up a new shader brush [MAC 214] to add to my evergrowing MAC brush collection. I dont own this brush yet so quite keen to try.Its farr cheaper than buying one in Japan XD [I know USA is probably cheaper though] FYI I paid HKD$200 for this brush. [USD$25?]

Also bought some falsies from SASA
agnes13
These were really cheap..HKD31 for the 3 pairs. [About USD$3.80]

And those of you on my twitter account will have seen me going to the MUFE store in World Trade Centre yesterday
55443231

Sorry to disappoint you guys but i only bought a pencil sharpener XD
agnes14
I forgot to bring my sharpener with me and i didnt want to risk damaging my MUFE aqua liners so i bought another one at MUFE.

I also visited LUSH to get some Angels On Bare Skin cleanser.
A few of you asked me on twitter where the store is…
agnes17
Hope this list of stores in Hong Kong helps you!!

Oh and guess what..i know its only the first week of 2010 but i already found something in Hong Kong i like!
Ok so its just cotton wool from Mannings [drugstore]
agnes16
But its so thin, its perfect for applying toner etc. [Not just for makeup removal]
You will end up using far less toner/beauty product since it doesnt get absorbed by the cotton wool.
Its super cheap too [HKD$14?!? USD$1.50?]
Super thanks to Ju-san for reccomending them!!

I know i started this post with foodie photos but here’s more.
I actually visited this cafe with Mona but i dont think i have any photos..anyway i went back with Mish and Lisa
agnes08

This cafe is in IFC.
agnes09
Note of warning: The coffee seems to be exceptionally strong here. So dont be drinking it late at night like us. Poor Miss Mishh was kept awake till 6 -7am.  XD

I know i am posting far too much Hello Kitty lately and you might be mistaken to think i am a huge fan.
I’m not really but its such a part of my childhood i cant say i dislike it either.
Its just nice to see a piece of home when i am overseas XD
agnes15
Mug –> Gift from Mish!!

Lastly..another random mention for this truly random post….
I got my iphone all blinged out XD [dont worry, its a removable case]
photo

Its Friday today! I made it through 10 days in Hong Kong XD
I also have a grand total of 8 friends in Hong Kong now hahahahha
Hope everyone is doing well
XOXO Yumeko

HAPPY TEN DAYS!! Hurray for Fridays :) I actually start my stretch of 3 night shifts today (of course) so the world’s weekend is my work week? Oh well :)

    The idea of fashion-branded restaurants is so interesting to me (you never see it here in Canada)! As long as the food is good though I don’t really care where I eat, though I admit I want to see the Jill Stuart cafe in Osaka for the novelty… XD;

I am trying that mask tonight! I also prefer the premium masks to the regular line, they fit my face better… and I can find 2/4 types here which is better than my search for the regular scents! Can’t believe you girls turned me into a mask person though… and I’m getting Kelsie to try them (she was wondering why I twitter-spammed her about MBD masks LOL). Have you tried the new scent White Peony Tea? Or I don’t know if it’s new but I saw it on Sasa with the whitening pack… the packaging looks really nice :)

The HK charm is SO CUTE. Where are you hanging it? I just realised the iPhone doesn’t really have a thing for straps either… *sigh* so everything goes on my camera, haha. Your case is so sparkly *_* I can’t imagine doing that myself though… no patience.

Is the material of the make-up puffs kind of… foam-like? They look super similar to a box I’m using right now but I don’t find that they feel like cotton (they’re still soft but don’t have that fibre-feeling). I really like them for toner/make-up remover as I seem to use a LOT less :D

    I have no idea if I make sense anymore. XD;

  2. nlngstar says:

cool, in Malaysia, that Manning drugstore is called Guardian, haha xD but I havent see that kind of pads yet

  3. wuzzyangel says:

MMMM FOOD PORN FOR ME!! LOL! A clothing/MU line has it’s own restaurant?! Now that is only in Asia! ;) Haha pencil sharpner! You crack me up Yume! And 3 sets of falsies for under $4 USD?! That is a steal! Maybe I should move to HK too! LOL!

i seriously regret BIG TIME that i didn’t buy any beauty diary masks when i went to hk this summer. URGH!!!

haha, yumeko! You’re so cute, i totally expected something different than a sharpener. is it that much better? I have a cheapo pink no brand that works fine sharpening my aqua eyeliner

I love your bling out case!! HEARTS!!!

  21. Mcnunu says:

Agnes B has a restaurant?lol! the food does look good tho xD
And since I’ve seen them on your blog, I’ve have been telling the bf about those Hello Kitty charms EVERYDAY!I need them! Are they quite heavy? or more cheap plastic?
It must be so funny for you to see so many products with Japanese on them even tho you’re not in Japan! I find it amusing that sometimes you’ll find these products in HK and TW, that has Japanese emblazoned all over the packaging, only to find the words ‘Made in Taiwan’ at the bottom xD. So why the Japanese instructions on the box then? What I wanna know is, does the Japanese on made in China products make sense or is it like China made products that have Chinglish instructions which don’t make any sense?
So happy you’ve made so many friends in HK already!

  22. kalai says:

OMG SO MUCH FOOD PORN!!! Ahhh, I love it!!

Congrats on making 10 days in HK!! Are your headaches getting better?

Also, LOL. I adore your blinged out phone!

  28. Nicole says:

Yumeko-san!! The food porn looks very superb as usual. I have never encountered the Agnes B restaurant, much less even heard about it, but now I’m tempted to try their dishes out on my next trip there!!

Also, I’d like to know the name of the cafe you visited. I am a big fan of pastries and the like XD Moreover, the MAC 214 brush is, in my opinion, very good for putting eyeshadow on your lash line, as well as on your upper lids when you want to secure your eyeliner. ^_^

    • Bittenbefore says:

i forgot the name of the cafe but it was 1887 something and was in IFC [so u'll find it there for sure ^^]
i am loving the 214 brush indeed !
you seem to love these brushes too! what other brushes do u reccomend?

awww love your iphone decoration :D

    • Bittenbefore says:

i think the yogurt mask from my beauty diary range is pretty good! or the choco truffle platinum one!! you should try it <3

  37. k* says:

    oooh lashes..
i’ve heard that criss-cross lashes are one of the more natural looking kinds?!
    is this true? o.O

those cotton pads are very intriguing
    hahaha…
    yay for less product waste!

  38. 8 friends in 10 days, that’s better than me. I live in a small village in Austria 40 min. from Vienna for 4 months now, and not very many people speak good English here. I moved from Hong Kong when I was seven years old; I visited my parents last summer.

I saw your lolita dress up pics; whole nine yards! Do you see any stores in HK carrying that kind of stuff? I like the gothic lolita style, but I want to venture into the Alice Deco. Do you have any idea how to order from that magazine?

    Hope to hear from you.

    ~Stephanie
