Day 2 in Singapore!
Things are going well. Its warm but i am always indoors anyway so it hasnt affected me too badly.
Been really busy but managed to have a quick break at TWG Tea over at Ion Mall

Ion Mall is new in Singapore..or rather its new to me. it wasnt built when i was here last year.
And the selection of tea is fantastic [looks at tea-buddy Yasumi]

Check on T6041 on the tea menu [its a huge tea menu]

its a green tea and citrus blend
Walked past the sephora store here in ION mall but i had to go back to work so did not look inside. [Went there later that night with the girls from the blogger meetup]

Thanks to the tipoff from some of you readers, i picked up this magazine at Kinokuniya

Its giving away a Ed. Pinaud Eyeshadow quad worth S$59. The magazine only cost S$5.90 though. XD

I have never tried this brand for cosmetics before [though i am familiar with their perfumes]

I like the packaging [the velvet jacket for the quad is a nice touch too]

I’m going to try wearing this tomorrow to see how the quality is. If its good, i’m going to try to see if i can pick up more issues as there are 6 different quads out there with the magazines.
Will do some swatches and what not for you guys ^^
The magazine itself isnt bad either! its got a nice range of topics and i like the quality of it.
This feature was great XD Its about the hotels that give toiletries from big brands rather than your usual crappy weird non descript items.

This feature is great for me cos i travel a lot. So now i know which ones to look out for XD

Another one that i know which is not featured in the mag is W hotel. They give out toiletries from BLISS SPA. I know this as i often stay at this hotel in Hong Kong when i was there on business trips XD [prior to me moving there]
There was a section on beautiful blush designs..

Totally useful to me as i have had a small cosmetic casualty from my flight to Singapore

Time for a new blush. And maybe a matching lipgloss for my emotional distress. XD hahahah
For dinner today, i met up with Haru of RougeDeluxe Blog, Mag of MakeupStash.com and Pinkybeanie.
Before anyone says anything, i would like to clarify that i did not call other bloggers along as it wasnt really a bloggers meetup. I have met these ladies on other occasions and hence it was more of a catchup of friends rather than a meetup. And not everyone is comfortable discussing their private matters [since its a catchup] i did not invite other bloggers whom they have not met before. Hope everyone can understand.
The ladies took me to the foodcourt in Ion to try some local fare

Mag got me some ice dessert to try.

I totally thought the green part would be melon tasting [as one would get in tokyo] but i was wrong hahaha
its just sweet syrup thats green in color.
Haru then bought me something from loccitane!

LOVE the smell!!! i totally wanted to get this. She knows me so well!
Pinkybeanie also gifted me with a goodie bag

Shills BBcream! A bbcream i dont own. Will definetely be trying this out along with all the goodies she gave me.
Thank you Haru, Mag and Pinky! lovely seeing you guys today! Thank you for everything!! Hope to see you guys again soon.
Ok time for me to hit the sack, this entry has taken me far too long to write hahaha
Hope everyone is doing well
XOXO Yumeko
IMPORTANT: i am very sorry but i may need to cancel the blogger meet on thursday afternoon as my husband arrives earlier than expected. its not confirmed yet but i dont want to cancel at the very last minute even though i know this is already very late notice. i do apologise greatly for this. i will get back to you guys with a better time.

lol you’ve been in sg for a shorter time than me, but how come it seems like you’ve done so much more compared? the tea place in ion looks fabulous. i’ve gotta go there once before i fly back to australia.

I want that magazine with that GWP!! Asian magazines all have such good gifts, the western ones never give gifts… sigh >___>
It was wonderful seeing you and again and jawing about everything. I was so tickled by your reaction to the iced dessert (we call it ice kachang here). Hope you’re successful in recreating bandung!

That was the most fun night
the mall is gorgeous and thats the best looking palette i have ever seen from a magazine! the magazines here never have those kind of free bees!
Thats a nice tea place!
One day I had the same prblem with my blush, I just crushed all shades together and pressed it! So I’ve got a new blush one

singapore is one of my favorite places in the world. the food there is awesome!
i have definetely enjoyed the food here <3
Aww RIP Canmake blush! LOL! But you’re right some new blush & matching gloss is a great way to grieve!
Mmmm look at all the yummy!!! And tea!! Whooo!!
Looks like you picked up some goodies too! Ahhh.. I hope Singapore treats you well while you’re there!
LOVE YOU YUME!!!
i’m looking forward to your swatches of the eyeshadow! i can’t decide whether to get it since i won’t be passing by kinokuniya any time soon.
i realised you have made many readers want to visit singapore but i don’t really understand why, i find our tiny island a wee bit boring. hehe. my foreign friends are always very amused by the crazy number of shopping malls we have here though – ion orchard is a good example – it just sprouted up last year and we always have new ones, it’s madness!
I like TWG too. However, I often patronised the one at Republic Plaza as I worked in Shenton Way. (Central Business District of Singapore)
ooh what tea do u reccomend? it was my first time at TWG
I usually go for those that are caffeine-free.
I got the same set of Ed. Pinaud Eyeshadow quad as u! (^^;) although, im pretty bad at how to blend each colors…how do u actually blend each colors? lol!(-_-”) hopefully, u can do the swatches soon (if u got a few mags…)
i tried it today but it doesnt work well for my skintone. might end up trading it with my sister who got a different color set
will do swatches for both though <3
Yummy food porn!! Good thing there was a Sephora there to replace your travel casualty
Enjoy the air con!
i totally thought of when i was in sephora! i thought..jamilla would totally be shopping it up with me haha
OH,I was at the ION’s TWG when I was in spore last 2 weeks. It’s awesome isn’t it? couldnt decide which to drink since the menu itself are so long. Managed to try 4 types tho.
Did you manage to see the price they are selling for the teapot? so ex!
its nice and new but i was so confused on where everything was. [ie bathrooms etc]
four types!!! tell me tell me what u had and whats good please!
I can’t really recall. But there is one with a year as the name of the tea. 184_?? it has berry flavour in it. That’s very nice. I was there for work as well, hence didnt dare to take pics like a mad blogger (in case my boss gives the THE look..) hah hah.
Hope you enjoy your stay there.
sounds like good tea. i like fruity berry teas!!
I just discovered your blog and I’m so intrigued! Can’t wait to learn more about you and follow your travels. Looks like you’re enjoying an exciting and luxurious lifestyle in Hong Kong and I wish you all the best.

wow, the twg place looks very interesting, I will remember to check it out on my next visit to spore
and the magz gift is very generous…how do you find the quality?

anyway, i hope youre enjoying your trip in singapore too!! keep us updated!
hannah^^ http://www.hannahhloves.blogspot.com
) : i spelled my own name wrong on the comment above haha
mmm so many types of tea! perhaps I’ll make some iced tea, since it’s sunny and mid-afternoon right now
those blushes in the magazine look so gorgeous! the only thing I don’t like is that they look too pretty to actually use =P poor little canmake blusher – I hope you picked up a new one (or two, or three…) after that one broke
Mmmmmm the tea house has some tasty looking food!
I loved that tea shop, and those blushes in the magazine almost inspire me to wear makeup again.
Hope Hong Kong is treating you well
Oh wow!! Isn’t S$10 expensive for tea? Cos that’s around 7$US … haha, I don’t know much about teas though.
all the best to your job training!!
