We all know i love bbcreams [well if u didnt know..uh now u know? XD]
And everytime i buy a new bbcream or post a photo of one..you guys always ask me to do a review
But to very honest..i dont know what to write about…so if u have a question or a particular need u need a bbcream to do..tell/ask me!! XD
In my last post..i posted a pic of the new one i found which is made by Mentholathum

There are two types available
Moisture BBcream or Silky BBcream
One is geared towards providing more moisture [i suppose this is better for those with dry skin or those who live in a cold/dry climate?]
The other is for oily control and a smooth appearance.
Since i have an oilslick of a Tzone..i am always on the hunt for a bbcream that does well in the humid/hot summer weather. My current HG bbcream is Oriks Vitamin C but it does not contain spf and it does not do well in extremely humid weather such a Hong Kong [its ok in Tokyo though] I get super shiny and a lot of blotting is needed. Heck i think it starts to melt off in extremely hot/humid weather sometimes.
Anyway..since this promises to provide excellent oil control..i purchased it
Its made by Mentholathum owned by Rohto.
To be honest..i am not sure where this is made..as the words on the back and on the box are all in mandarin.
My thoughts [after 4 days of usage]
- has no discernable smell [YAY!]
- the bbcream isnt thick but applies evenly and provides good coverage
- is very sweatproof like sunblock
- has AMAZING oil control. <– yes it really does!!!
- does not contain much product for its price XD
Would i buy it again?
YES! the oil control is as good as it claims. Despite the fact i was out the whole day in 31degrees C with 95% humidity, i only had to blot once and it wasnt very shiny either!! And it doesnt melt off or rub off easy. Very pleased with this. I am actually going to buy another bottle as backup!

I actually went to MAC yesterday to find out what my skintone is..as i have a really long discussion with J and L about it on twitter. It turns out i am NC20 at the moment [summer]
The bbcream is only 25spf so if you are going to be in the sun..do remember to wear a proper sunblock underneath. This is my HG

My HG Day Essence from KOSE finally finished so i have switched to SKII
Both have spf25. Used the new one for around a month now. So far so good. But i think the one from KOSE is better [for whitening? i am not sure..i somehow prefer it more as its texture is lighter too]
I also picked this up from NARS last week
LOVE IT! [The color is LARA but its REALLY sheer anyway so its more like a lip balm]
Here’s something else that one MUST HAVE in summer [actually all the time]
DEODERANT! its amazing how something so basic is often forgone by loads of people. UGH! Main reason why i do not like public transport..esp during summer/hot months.
And dont forget about your hair! Esp if you are the sort to pespire a lot or perhaps do not wash your hair in the morning before you leave home….

Sadly as i bought this in korea last october..i have since forgotten the price.
This is a fantastic spray! Oddly it comes out more like a gust of cold air than mist..i cant really feel any mist at all XD It cools you down almost immediately and since its not a mist..your makeup doesnt get affected. HIGHLY reccomend this.

i have a similar ice cooling face gel but, i forgot the name. i picked it up when i was in hong kong last year. it helps me cool down hehe

i need that bb cream to match the HOT weather i’m facing here. so far the lotree one is working well for me. for the long staying powder but extra oil control sounds good too.
gonna reduce my cosmetic budget so i can work my way to SKII skincare, wants to try their highly raved treatment essence & cellumination essence. as now i;m lemming for glow from within Lol

I have yet to try any BB creams, how are they with coverage?? I tend to need A LOT of coverage since I have acne/acne scars. Any recommendations?
some have a lot of coverage..say lieole
but if u have acne/acne scars..try Oriks Vit C bbcream
whilst its coverage isnt very thick [i say medium] it fades acne scars extremely quickly and treats your skin as well.

The BB cream sounds awesome, my skin is always awfully oily in Hong Kong! Have you tried using BRTC’s BB creams in the humid weather? I’m just wondering how it fares on your skin.
Also what does the hair cologne thing do and is it from Japan or Hong Kong?
i think tat is a good bbcream..the brtc! but its also a bit oily so i dont wear it in humid weather XD

I need a waterproof/sweatproof sunscreen…fave right now is Bioderma SPF 100. Also like Neutrogena too.

Yumeko – another super post. I am lemming that BB cream although I do use MUFE Face and Body Foundation – now that’s seriously sweat proof!! I used to think Japan was humid – I don’t think I ever want to go to HK in summer – eeks.
I’m really wanting to try the Sexy Girl hair cologne… I have one from Happy Bath Day and I think it completely stinks! It does however cut out cigarette smoke smells so I do use it on occasion (when I get desperate) – can I ask you to describe this smell..? Is it a fruity Ma Cherie kind of smell? (I like Ma Cherie – hate Precious Rose Happy Bath Day)

but there are tons of hair colognes out there. i have one called sakuraberry [i posted it ages ago..like over a year] which i finished and smells like sakuras and a fruity berry smell. its very very nice.
I use MUFE everyday because I moved back to Sydney from Canberra (dry city) and I seem to be a bit sweatier than I used to be – esp in summer! It is very sheer but buildable. (good for you as you don’t have blemishes) coverage is extremely natural looking. Has a distinct sheen so powder is advisable. Coverage is similar to MAC’s Face and Body but I think it gives slightly better coverage than the MAC version. MUFE model is coming out of a swimming pool with that on (apparently!) so it is extremely waterproof IMO.
Warning though – I bought colour Honey Beige (holy smokes that is DARK I think called colour 34) and I recently got colour 20 (I think called Ivory Beige) and it most defn NC25-30.
Ma Cherie is more of a fruity smell than a perfumey smell so this sakuraberry sounds fabby for me – thanks heaps for the tip!

is bbcream only available to people who is fair? some brands that i know of have only 2 different shades and the darkest ones is not even dark. im a MAC NC30, do you think there is brand that do my shade?

Help! I’m NC30 which BBcream would you say suits my skintone? most BBcreams are way light, I don’t see why we don’t get the same colour variety as with foundation ;p
I feel you on the humidity thing, I also have oily skin and last year in Brazil it was so humid, I had to blot A LOT x]

I’m tempted to try out the BB cream since you say it works great for oily skin? I live in Canada so it’s freaking cold = dry skin on the exterior but my nose gets shiny in 30 minutes after makeup application >.>
Also wondering, have you tried Isa Knox or Laneige BB creams? Heard anything good about oil control for those?

heyy yumeko! I have never tried BB creams before, although I’ve heard so many good things about them. I have oily/combo skin, what would you recommend for someone using them for the first time? It’s ok if it doesn’t have sunscreen, since I’m in the habit of wearing that all the time anyways. Oooh that Nars lippie is very pretty! hehe I like the coffee phone charm. My new phone doesn’t have a place to put charms (urghh) but I still have my charms left from my old phone (4 white mini Monokuro Boo bells, one squishy white flattened Monokuro Boo, one giant white Monokuro Boo pillow that’s about the size of my fist lol). It makes me so sad I can’t put them on my phone anymore.

The pink Lioele. It was better for me during the cooler months. & when I went to SoCal. I’ve been using mostly the Pink Lioele, so I guess it’d be my fave for now! LOL! BUt I liked the samples of Legere (reg), and Skinfood Aloe I’ve gotten before.

ooh u are like my sister! she has dry skin too. i reccomend BRTC or Hanskin which is quite good. I also reccomend BB creams that are AQUA versions. For example hanskin has one, Dr Jart, Missha, Lioele..actually almost all the brands have a aqua or waterdrop version.
