Back from Taipei!

I’m back from my 3 day weekend in Taipei!
Not a very long trip but since i just went Taipei last month with my sister..i didnt really need a long trip this time XD

This time..i went with my husband ^^

Taipei was WAYYY warmer than expected so i spent a good half of the first day in Taipei in the malls
Sadly no photos as i was being totally lazy but i’ll show u guys what i bought later!

Thankfully it got a lot cooler at night so here are some photos in Ximending
taiwan09
Yes yes i always go Ximending when i am in Taipei..cos uh..my hotel is usually there? XD

There are tons of clothing stores here!

taiwan11

Giant Heineken beer can display..it was huge! Taking up the whole side of a building!
taiwan13

There were tons of road side stores but they are quite jumpy! i think they dont have licenses or something cos something they exit enmass! This store wasnt manned so i quickly took a pic!
taiwan14

It might seem weird but cold stone creamery is a highlight of the trip for the husband. He looooves cookie dough icecream and he cant find it easily in asia except at cold stone. Ironically there is cold stone creamery in Japan but they dont have cookie dough!!!!
taiwan15

Night shot of Ximending [where the main station exit is]
taiwan16

Another random store..this one selling bags!
taiwan17

This cracked me up a bit hahah Not Forever 21 but Forever 26!!!
taiwan18

The nature republic store. When i was here about a month ago, they had signs up saying closing down sale. Not even a month later..they have signs up for “annual sale” WTF? ahahahah
taiwan19

Some food porn..i know i havent posted them in ages. Sadly it isnt Taiwanese food as i was dying for some beer in this hot weather XD And i like Asahi!

Forever 26 makes me laugh! I like the store but I find the clothing quality really mediocre hence things break fast… I still shop at F21 though :P

The food looks so delicious! How weird that they don’t have cookie dough ice cream at the Cold Stone in Japan – it’s definitely very popular here!

  30. Stephanie says:

I went to an ice cream parlor today and told my husby about Cold Stone :D I worked there for a week once. I want to go shopping at…Forever 61. I like wearing old vintage things. And second hand/homemade things for that matter. I hope to buy one of your creations some day (they get sold out quickly!) Oh, and your last post title was referring to the movie? Well if not, that’s what I was thinking of. I always look forward to reading your posts!

    • Bittenbefore says:

oh wow! my husband would be mad jealous hahaha he loves cold stone

i love your idea of Forever 61 heehee i love vintage things too but i look terrible in most [not the right size]

i dont think i have seen tat movie before so i wasnt thinking that haha but now i know!

p.s i am sewing at the moment but i am so slow hence i dont sell many things XD

  31. wuzzyangel says:

It’s so true that I travel vicariously through you!! Such great clear nite shots!! LOL at the Heineken building! Awesome!

Mmmm… Foood porn!! Oh is that bacon wrapped asparagus I see…. *DROOLS*

What no cookie dough in Japan?! Say it ain’t so!!

  32. aaaaaaah I love TOP! lol seriously can’t wait to go back to Taiwan this summer. I just found out I got the internship I applied for there!

  33. sarah says:

    potato mochi combination? sounds yummy!

LOL at the forever26….. maybe those signs were to draw more people in to buy :P

  34. mayaari says:

looks like a fun weekend, even if it was warmer than expected! those domo bags looked really cute :)

  35. Catherine says:

    Ahhhh, I love your pictures! Looks like a fun trip and the food porn OMG. I miss Taiwan so much. ;_;

  36. Jian says:

Looks like you had a great time with your hubbie! Hahaha, the street vendors without licenses! We have those in mainland China too! They do a runner when someone starts shouting that the city officials/guards are coming. Ironically it’s not the police’s job to deal with them. I often see police haggling with bootleg DVD salespeople!

The food looks delish too. How do you stay skinny Yumeko when you eat so many tasty goodies?? I hate jogging..and I’m trying to lose weight!

    • Bittenbefore says:

hhahahaha then whose job is it to deal with these guys?

and my answer to your question is really easy…i am not skinny hhahahahahha

      • Jian says:

The official title of the people who are responsible are the 城管 (City Guard). Apart from going round in a truck and confiscating the wares of the street stall owners, I don’t actually know what their role is.

Really? Somehow, I find it really difficult to believe! xD

  37. molé says:

i’ve never had cookie dough ice cream!! ahhhhhh!! feel like i’ve been living under a rock for the past 300 years!

    (LOL @ forever26)
