Everytime i go Taipei, i pick up some random eyeshadows from this brand NiniMonica
However this time round, i couldnt find the usual ones i buy and found these instead…

It appears to be a new range of eyeshadows from NinMonica called Metallic Eyes [i am just reading the japanese words on it] You can find this brand in most drugstores there [Eg. Cosmed]

They are NT$149 [About USD$4.60] each.
This brand is made in Taiwan but they have a lot of japanese words on the packaging. Dont know why
I have never seen these sold in Japan.
The packaging is different from the other shadows i own from them [range is different i guess]

Comes with an attached eyeshadow sponge applicator [which i never use XD]

These guys are SUPER shimmer bordering on glittery!!! Fallout isnt an issue thankfully!
Here are some swatches i took in the store of all the colors available

The pic doesnt do them justice cos they are truly sparkly!!
I probably wont buy these again as i am trying to wear less sparkly/shimmer eyeshadows lately.
With the other 3 NiniMonica eyeshadows i own…

Yes i removed the attached sponge applicators hahahahaha
In non makeup news..i guess i should finish my taipei posts eh?
On Day 2, husband and i popped down to Taipei Station

Our main aim was to go visit the Beef Noodle Stadium XD You can find around 8 stores in here…all selling Taiwanese Beef Noodles. They all appear to be some grand prize winners around the country too!

I got this thing for their side dishes…

Totally love them!!
What the husband got…

Omg far too much foood! We struggled to finish everything!!!
After a long walk [to walk off the meal!] we popped down to Taipei 101

If you like your branded goods and what not, Taipei 101 is the place to go.

We spotted a mall called NewYork NewYork nearby [no idea if its new but i never noticed it before]

We popped in for a bit and had more Cold Stone Creamery hahaha There is also a Daiso in here [HUGE] , Muji and ToysRus!
By the time we left NewYork New York..it was dark and perfect time to grab a pic of Taipei 101 at night.

That concludes my Taipei posts..except for the haul post i guess. XD will do that soon <3
As a sidenote, i really want to thank every single one of you who left me a comment in my last post. It truly means a lot to me <3
Take care everyone!
XOXO yumeko
p.s I've been watching Kaibutsu-kun [Japanese drama] lately and i love it hahaha its quite ridiculous but oddly i find it very entertaining and funny. Ok so maybe its a bit like a kids show but heck i dont care.

Wow! More eye shadows! Thats such pretty colors! Seems like you have so nice eye shadows collection!
the beef noodles look very delicious. that is alot of food! i always enjoy reading your travel posts. it’s a travel guid to me heehee i’ll make sure to visit the places you talk about:)
whattt why have I never seen these before? I’ll need to keep a closer eye out for them next time. I think the old ones look prettier, and I’d probably get more use out of them, hopefully they still sell those somewhere. I love Taipei 101…for the foodcourt! haha if you go again, you need to have the crepes there (the salty ones! w/ corn and stuff inside. so very yummy). Oh and there’s a 7/11 in the basement level that I go to a lot, otherwise I just window shop because man the other stuff is way too expensive.
Ooh those shadows look just like Anna Sui ones! The attached sponge applicator to the new ones you got is so cute even if they’re a bit useless haha.
Those beef noodles look amazing!! I wish I’d been a more savvy shopper last time I visited Tapei 101. It looks awesome at night.
thank goodness i’m already eating
haha! love the new shades you picked out
THe eyeshadows look cute – the attached applicator kind of reminds me of the JS Mix Blushes (I don’t like sponge applicators but it’s cute that they have little covers attached). Hurray for no fallout!
The food looks delicious – shame I’m at work (there is no good food to be had here).
I started watching Tsuki no Koibito but I’m not sure what I think of it yet…
Those shadows are gorgeous! Esp. the silver one. And I have yet to try Taiwanese beef noodles, but they look absolutely delicious. *_*
And, this isn’t a beauty related question, but I figured I would ask anyway. Since you mentioned Kaibutsu-Kun… Are there any other Jdramas in particular you would recommend? I’m really into Kdramas, but I kind of want to broaden my drama horizons. XD And also, have you seen any Taiwanese dramas?
i havent watched enough recently so my faves might not be recent enough…
i do like One Pound Gospel which is abt 2 years old.
Yes i have seen some taiwanese dramas! they are shown in japan on certain channels with japanese subtitles
omg, the food looks bomb! and the boxes to those shadow are super cute!!
omgsh I would not mind eating some of that food right now…
i like the attached applicator… look at the foods… oh oh oh
the packaging is sort of Anna Sui inspired too
The shawdow has the same packaging as anna sui! That is so cute!
Those noodles you got looks really delicious!!!!
those foods look awesome!!
) thou I nv eat beef! :p
cant wait for your haul post now! ^^
Wow… @_@ Yumminess!!!
I really want to visit Taiwan now, despite the fact that all mainlanders say there’s nothing to do there. It looks like you had fun~~~!!
the eyeshadow packaging is like a rip off of anna sui’s lol.
yah it is! thats wat i thought too!
I don’t like the packaging of the shadows but the colours are gorgeous
That former packaging reminds me so much of cathycat, and latter reminds me of anna sui!lol
Anyway I heard you are moving again, wow. Well at least you get to speak a lot of japanese again:-)
ah cathy cat! i didnt think of that , you are right!
Sigh the food looks sooooooooooooooooooooo good!
I love your site!
I’m a new follower.
The eyeshadow’s are really pretty.
I love Arashi and their new single ^u^
thank you for following <3!!
“This brand is made in Taiwan but they have a lot of japanese words on the packaging. Dont know why
I have never seen these sold in Japan.”
that must be a way to boost sale in Taiwan
i think u are right! seems like such a waste of effort to print japanese words then later stick a sticker in chinese words on top XD
the ninimonica eyeshadows look really shimmery! and cute
the applicator is a nice touch
OMgee the fooooood! looks so good! aaaah!
I want to visit Taipei!
People in Taiwan love all things Japanese, so putting some on the packaging will fool shoppers into thinking the brand has something to do with Japan xD
I hope you’re doing well! I’ve enjoyed reading your blog– different from the LJ days! Your posts about Taiwan make me miss the place very much.
i read my old entries on lj a while ago and i hate almost all of them esp the emo ones i wrote at the very start [i dont think u knew me then, thank goodness]
i wrote so much junk when i was young and stupid hahahaha
I think I’m gonna give Kaibutsu-Kun a try again in a few weeks! I think the initial shock of Ohno’s ears is over now! LOL! Plus I have an open slot now that I’ve finished Personal Taste! LOL!
MMmmm… O_O FOOD PORN!! Those pics are so clear Yume! NewYorkNewYork mall? Like the NewYorkNewYork hotel in LV?! I wonder… LOL!
Dang those e/s are SHIMMERY!! I don’t think I’d have the confidence for that. But yay for no fallout at least!
Def send me your new addy as soon as you know it! LOL!
This is my 1st time visiting your blog!

I love your photos!!!
*followw!* <3
The food looks so good! Man, you are spoiled over there!
The packaging alone for the eye shadows makes me want to buy some, super cute!
YOU without sparkle doesnt sound quite right my darling. I s’pose that you dont actually NEED any because you are already naturally sparkley wonderful in so many ways already!!
I know – sooooo cheesy you can stick me in your sarnie!
Those eye shadows look very amazing! I always love Asian make up packaging. It seems quiet affordable.
Thanks for all the great photos of Taipei! It looks like a cool city with excellent food!
