As promised, thought i write about my roadtrip to Toi. For those of you who dislike travel posts, not to worry, scroll down for the makeup review bit XD
Now for those of you still reading about roadtrip, Toi is in Shizuoka. Yup i went on a roadtrip to Shizuoka a while ago but i only went to the eastern coast. This time, i decided to head to the western coast [towards mount fuji]

I love this gorgeous coastline.
There are many houses/towns by the coastline

The place i am staying at is directly facing the sea [the scenes above]

Yah its literally across the road XD
I stayed at a place called Hoshi no Nagisa

Toi is famous for its mineral-rich water as well so you know i had to get myself a room with a private tub!

Its proper water from the onsen. I had no eczema on my arms for at least 2 days after soaking in these waters for a day.
Its a private tub on my balcony..but possibly not private enough for some people.

As you can see in my pic above..technically you are showering and soaking in public hahaha since the balcony isnt actually covered etc. You can see the carpark where i was standing to take photos of the coastline and of this place earlier on ^^
As you can guess by now, this place isnt your typical Ryokan, its not japanese traditional but built more like a beach resort. We call these pensions here. Dinner wasnt typically japanese kaiseki either..but good nonethless!

Gotta have the catch of the day when you stay by the sea

There was a huge yakiniku [bbq meat] course in the middle here but to avoid oil splatters etc, i kept my camera. Sorry folks XD
Dessert…

After the meal, husband and i went driving around the coastline during the sunset. It was lovely! Sorry no pics haha
But after we got back, whilst the husband was watching TV , i started checking out the toiletries pack they gave
In the male toiletries pack

Those cat designs are sooo cute.
The next morning, after the breakfast provided, husband and i continued on our drive up the mountains
This is the coastline [where i stayed the night prior]

I really like this photo. Sadly my little point and shoot camera did no justice to the scenery. Will have to bug the husband for photos from the DSLR [i have one too! i am just too lazy to bring it out]

Yup..that black outline you see in the pic above..on the left..tats MOUNT FUJI
Another pic of the overall view

After all that morning driving, we decided to grab some lunch before going on our way home
And hey..i couldnt say no to this FAB view

Ok so i didnt sit outside [it was hot ok!!] the view was still good

Had me some Shizuoka Original Cider this time

Cider in japan is kinda like sprite or 7-up
And if u havent figured it out

Yes i went back to the same restaurant hahahaha [its on the way home ok XD]
i love these little roadtrips. Too bad the weather is still really warm but once its get cool, i am going to be doing tons more of these! HAHA sorry to those who dislike travel posts.
But here’s a makeup review to make it better. Its semi-related though cos i actually bought this right before going on the trip. I finally finished using the Labello lipbalm i bought in Hong Kong so i thought it was time to try something new.
This was new in store [or maybe its not and i just never noticed XD] <– i checked the website. this arrived in stores around start of September!

there’s about 4 areas in shizuoka with a lot of onsen Atami , Ito, Shuzenji, Toi etc
But its all just known as Izu since its near the izu penisular. we call it Nakaizu [middle of izu] for shuzenji etc depending on where they are.
the water is all different too , the only thing i know about Toi is that there is a lot of gold in the ground XD
They do bottle the water for drinking at Shuzenji though ^^

i never been refused entry to one before and i always go with the husband. as a matter of fact, the bookings are always made in the husband’s name too [by me of course] and since the husband is australian with an english surname..they do know wat to expect before we turn up but i have never had any problems nor anyone calling me to cancel on me etc.i would like to know the one that canceled on ur though! thats a bit nasty!
p.s i have had friends refused entry before but thats because of their tattoos and they arent foreigners but japanese too.

i dont think the cherry scent is very strong at all..actually i bought it cos it reminds me of sakura scented products [where they usually put a light cherry scent instead]
the mixed berries smells really good too. i couldnt decide between the two at first! ^^

depending on the type of water and mineral content, they claim they can do different things like cure skin diseases, pain, etc
i dont know how true it is but i do see my eczema is a lot better at certain places as claim.
i have a steriod cream from the dermatologist. to be honest, i only started having it for just over a year so i am still new to this XD

i was gonna tweet u the reply but then i typed too much so putting it here again, sorry! >_<
for me, the steroid cream is making my skin thinner and a lot fairer. its not good cos then i started having patches of fairer skin [where i apply the cream]
the derma gave me a lower strength cream and its better now. but if i dont use it..even just for one day, generally the eczema would just come back. i wouldnt say it comes back worse though. my first time trying this derma but he got rid of my sister’s eczema completely so i decided i had to give it a go.
what kind of bath salts do u use then?

all onsens in japan should have mineral rich water but they differ in content and concetration depending on where they are. they should have signs indicating the content usually. but some places to save on $$ have just normal water in private tubs. they would be cheaper but i wont go to those cos i think its a waste of money [no different from a swimming pool XD]
