Have you heard of Namco NamjaTown?
They have famous gyoza stores from all over japan on its first level and desserts/icecream on the 2nd level.

Anyway Namjatown has many events and last year in December, they had the One Piece Event
One piece is a manga currently running in Shonen Jump and has also been made into an anime
It is also the number 1 selling manga in Japan [according to Oricon Charts]
This event was in conjuntion with the One Piece movie “Strong World” which was out at that time [Dec last year]
There are many desserts created specially for this event. [Ie they are not being made anymore sadly]
The desserts made are VERY pretty and intricate. I’m sad they are only available for such a short time.
There was a really cute display made as well !!!
Even the cat logo at Namjatown got turned into a pirate [One piece manga is about pirates]
They made a really gorgeous banana cream crepe shaped like Going Merry [The main characters' ship!]
You get a free sticker with it ^^;
Sadly like i said, this event was December last year.
But dont fret, they are currently having a different event right now.
Its for Hakuouki!
As usual there are specially designed food/desserts for this limited time
Each specific dessert comes with a particular bookmark of the character[s] the dish is inspired by.
I’m going to try going next weekend! If i manage to go, i will share photos with you!
This event ends next sunday! [7th November] So if you wish to go, dont hesitate!

In other news, it was Halloween on the weekend! Did you go trick or treating?
Thats not something we generally do in Japan. The day is perhaps more for adults than children over here as many clubs hold halloween events etc.
This year, i bought myself a funny looking hello kitty jumpsuit

i think manga is a great place to start since the kanji words will have hiragana next to it so even if u dont know all the kanji, its readable ^^

they did plenty for naruto too! i think i went…maybe i have pics. i will check
kuroshitsuji means the black butler in japanese. its about a young boy and his demon butler. its interesting to me. ^^

i dont like waiting for manga so its easier to read a lot at one go..so i tend to stop and then read it when there are a few to read!
