A few months ago, i attended a wedding in Kobe and whilst there, i visited Kobe Harborland.
From the website – “Kobe Harborland features an array of large-scale commercial sites, from department stores, superstores, and speciality shops to hotels.”
FYI, Kobe is about 3 hours via shinkansen from Tokyo.
I like the open-ness of it all [is that a word?]
There is quite a bit of shopping to do here, remember to check out their huge Seria [100yen type of shop, kinda like Daiso but far more craft centered. Very hard to find in Tokyo].
Do check it out if you get the chance
p.s i twitted this recently…this is a show in Japan where celebrities are given the challenge to live on 10,000yen [about usd120] for a month. this includes water/electricity/gas fees
Though the way they live is kinda extreme, there are some good ideas like how to cook cheap meals/save on utility bills etc. And if anything, you could always check out how life is like in Japan on a budget.
Disclaimer: u must note that the prices they give in the show are kinda extreme. i hardly find groceries that cheap in tokyo and my utility bills sure cost way way more than that XD
I would appreciate greatly if you told me what you think!
