Do you remember my Walgreen’s haul from LA?
Many of you asked if i would review the revlon lip butters and post my entire collection of them.
I procrastinated about doing this as i know some people will give me flack for my collection [if you are one of them, just stop reading now as i refuse to apologize for buying things i want when i work long hours each day]
With that disclaimer out of the way, here they are
Revlon ColorBurst LipButters
Note: When these were released, they were not sold in Japan so super thanks to asiyakei who bought me 2 of them and beautymoogle who gifted me with one for christmas! I bought 4 of them in USA. And the rest? MASSIVE THANKS TO my shoe twin aka MAY407 for getting them for me.
*Currently Japan sells 8 shades [only 8 shades!? and extremely expensive at almost USD$20 each]

Pros
- Low price
- Very pigmented for lipbalm! semi pigmented for lipstick
- Super moisturizing
- Unscented
Cons
- not easily found outside of USA/Canada. As a matter of fact only 8 shades are sold here in Japan.
- not long lasting, wipes off easily
- packaging, i dont know if i have been manhandling them somehow but 2 of my lipsticks no longer spin outwards [its like they got jammed or something]
How about some swatches

Overall Thoughts
I guess its pretty obvious that i love these XD Usually my lips get cracked during winter [no matter how much lipbalm i wear] and it seems these have really helped out! As a matter of fact, these have completely changed my views about lipstick. I didnt used to buy/wear a lot of lippies but now i have decided to give them a fair chance!
FYI I dont even know which is my fave as i like almost ALL the shades. Every shade is extremely wearable!

i kinda avoided these for a bit when they first came out, i thought..meh lipstick. not my thing
then i got given some in a swap and i thought hey these arent bad! then it became a pokemon thing – must get them all hhahahahahah

i dont think i ever considered finishing them to be honest. but if it helps, i actually finished one of them already XD [brown sugar which is why the swatch in the blog post looks strange, i had to scrape it out with a lipbrush]

i get the weirdest flack. tats why i dont post pics of bags or shoes i buy. once i posted my nail polish collection and some ppl commented on how wasteful i was and how i’ll never finish using them all. btw my nail polish is pathetic esp since i stopped buying over 2 years ago. so i dont know wat their problem was.

ooh have u tried wearing lip concealer? it will make ur lips less red and work well if u like nude shades.

i agree with u! they sure are good for drugstore and if u can get them at drugstore prices [heard they were like 3.99 in canada last week and usa gets BOGO 50% off often] i think they are all really worthwhile hahaha
people are weird to bother leaving me weird comments i think. like if it makes u mad, just close the window and move on hahahaha
