Last week, the fabulous Miss Iris of Rouge Deluxe was in Tokyo for a bit and we managed to do a quick meetup. Its been two years since i last saw her and it was really long overdue!!
We dropped into the Samantha Thavasa Cafe in Tokyo Solamachi.

This is the 2nd Samantha Thavasa Cafe in Tokyo. The first one in Tokyo opened in Haneda Airport.
I have not been to either so i was happy i got to go [good company helps even more]

The decor of the cafe is gorgeous of cos

Here’s what Miss Iris had [ice coffee and mango eclair! thanks Iris for reminding me!!]

Here’s what i had [it was the eclair flavor of the day! it was Royal Milk Tea Flavor]

I had a cup of ice milk tea too

For those visiting, there are tons of gorgeous packaged biscuits/sweets you can buy and bring home too [check expiry dates]

Highly recommend a visit.

Hey Yumeko,
That was an awesome outing! I just arrived back in London, totally exhausted but so happy with how the trip went and that I got to see you again. At Narita Airport, I was ecstatic to find a Samantha Thavasa shop and ended up purchasing a Hello Kitty x Liberty bag, which I didn’t see at the stores in Tokyo or Kyoto (perhaps sold out already). Thanks for introducing me to the cafe!
p.s. that was a mango eclair that I had at the cafe.
Thanks Iris, i updated the blog
it was great we got to see each other this time!
hope the rest of your time in london is just as fantastic
i cant wait to see your new bag!!!!
the food looks delicious! im hungry now -.-;; haha i got sick too. it started with a sudden sorethroat and now it’s just that plus runny nose and a cough. I hope you get better tho! be sure to rest Yumeko

a sudden sorethroat and BAMM cough etc etc
SIGH
i have been to the doc and got meds

hope you are feeling a bit better today. HUGS!
thanks dear, i am better. it was a good thing i went to the doc super early this time haha
Wow! I love eclairs and there’s so many to choose from! What did you think of the royal milk tea eclair? I think I need to write a list of places to visit now. I feel like I’ve missed out on a lot in previous visits to Japan T^T But I think a lot of these places are fairly newly established so perhaps weren’t around when I was there last. Yumeko~ thanks for always posting such lovely entries about places in Japan! They’re a joy to read, love! <3
i thought it was a bit small but tasted very good of cos.
this mall only opened in may this yr so you probably havent visited it XD
Those eclairs look amazing!
a little on the small side but tasted great!
interesting eclair! i have never seen one like those before! but they do look most tasty!
they were lovely!!
ooh, yummy!
Sorry to hear about the cold – I guess it’s been going around. I got something similar from my bf – sore throat then coughing for a week+. I think he got it back from me yesterday!
thanks! hoping it clears up asap
Hi, this is totally unrelated to this post (not that i didn’t read the post, i read it!). I am visiting tokyo soon (i left you another comment some time ago..) and i would love to get my nails done. i was wondering if you have any recommendations? this will be my first time and my japanese is pretty much non-existent, so a foreigner friendly place would be awesome, or maybe just a place that’s friendly ^^ also, lower price points would be nice, something around $100 or less, but you can go ahead and tell me about the good places XD
i am very sorry but i have only ever done my nails in japan at 3 different places and none of them speak english D:
currently i am getting my nails done at a friend’s house as well so i dont have place to reccomend you. very sorry!!
thanks for replying so promptly! and its no problem
do you think i’d have a really difficult time though? anyways, i’ll try some place in shibuya, probably walk in ask for an appointment (as efficiently as possible), go back and do nails. it all seems so basic in my head, hopefully reality will play out the same
i doubt it? i gotten my nails done in countries where they dont speak the same language and it wasnt a problem
i am sure u will be fine!
Take care and get well soon!
thanks dear! btw i got your fb message, sorry i forgot to reply!! but i am ok. just unwell
The Samantha Thavasa Cafe looks beautiful and the food looks so delish. Can’t wait to try that in person. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I’ve already added this shop to my list of what not to miss at Solomachi.
PS. I hope you feel better from your cold.
thank you for the well wishes!!
