A few weeks ago, I visited one of the newer malls in Tokyo [it opened in April]
Diver City Tokyo
There is a Tokyu Hands [hands be] there
The ever favourite Matsumoto Kiyoshi [MatsuKiyo] drugstore
And a Hello Kitty Sanrio store
They sell Hello Kitty themed sweets too!

And the main attraction….
Yup a life sized Gundam!!
If you go during specific times of the day, the gundam lights up and smoke billows! It seriously feels like its going to take off!
Btw there is a gundam themed cafe and gundam themed indoor park [not big] in this mall too.

Speaking of Gundam, i thought i post pics of the AXE X Gundam collab instores right now.
The packaging in the stores differ from the ones in the convenience stores but the figurines are exactly the same.
Schick has a collab with EVANGELION as well
There are specially marked shaving cream bottles as well as razor packs
Since we are discussing deodorants etc, Ban deodorant spray has put out a LAWSON [convenience store] exclusive – Apple Vanilla scent

My friend LOVES Matsumoto Kiyoshi store! She highly recommended it to me when I went to Japan. I went there and it was a fun place to be in. My son and DIL really like Kawachi and so I shopped there as well.
That Gundam is huge! Must be so much fun to see it light up and billow smoke.

I think i watched a documentary on YT about that life size gundam and the theme cafe ( i think they said they sold gundam shaped foods there??)
OMG that’s so awesome! I think I would have literally just stood dumbstruck and starry eyed forever at the foot of that gundam. I loved gundam soo much when I was younger! Used to collect them and build them xD
Eee love new shopping malls! Love the fact that they’re new and shiny with nice new shiny toilets that are quite clean too. Although in Japan clean toilets aren’t so much an issue anyway no matter how old the shopping mall is… lol
