Maebashi, Gunma : Bedford Cafe

A few weekends ago, the husband and i went to Gunma for a long weekend holiday [my birthday] and an online search brought us to hunt for the elusive Bedford Cafe that was getting quite a name online in the gunma community for its pancakes.
The place is about 2hrs drive from Tokyo and kind of hard to find XD so be sure to take down the address!

There wasnt much parking here so we ended up parking at the Niitori [furniture shop] down the street.

The shop space is extremely small [maybe 6 or 8 tables?]

When we arrived [2.30pm on Saturday], there was a bit of a queue. They took down my cell number and called me 20mins later to say a table had become available.

The shop has a very small menu but there were several curries available
I chose to have the butter chicken and seafood red curry.
The red curry was insanely good

The husband had the butter chicken and beef curry

And the number one thing most people visit this place for…

Yup Ricotta pancakes. Dont they look almost identical to the ones from Bills?
FYI, its 1/3 of the price and the portion is the same as Bills. Its very good, possibly the closest i have eaten to the ones from Bills. Yet..which is better? I still think Bills is better.

If you find yourself in Gunma [about 2hrs drive from Tokyo], drop into Bedford Cafe.
Address: 372-0812 群馬県伊勢崎市連取町3337-6

I have a lot of things going on this week [appointments, work and some serious fangirl stalking to do XD] so if i dont blog much this week, you will know why!
Have a lovely week ahead!
